South Korea’s temporary tourist visa process is easy and fast and most ideal for a solo traveler. You can get your application submitted through VFS (Visa service agency) OR apply directly through the local consulate.
There are three types of short-term visas you can go with:
- Temporary Journalism (C1)
- Temporary visit (C3)
- Marriage Migrant (F1)
The most recommended type of visa is C3 for all types of travelers. So let’s briefly talk about C3 category visa
Pre-requisites
- Application form
- Original Passport (minimum 6 months validity)
- Passport size photographs (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)
- Income tax return (1 year) ( In case of absence of ITR, you will need to provide a bank statement of 6 months).

It usually takes 5 working days to get you visa approved. For express service it would be 2 working days.
